How to cancel and refund an order?

Canceling Orders

If a customer would like to cancel an order, there are two ways to locate a customer's order:

  1. Customers > Orders > Select the order from the active order list
  2. Orders > Active orders > Select the order from the order list

If the customer chooses to cancel an order, the entire order will be canceled. Ideally, the Cancel Order button is only available for future orders. Upon canceling, you will have the option to choose the reason for the cancelation and where to refund the payment.

Reminders...

The Cancel Order button only appears if the order's fulfillment is on a future date.

The Refund Order button is available if an order is paid and/or fulfilled, and the fulfillment date is in the past or today.

 

Refunding Orders

Once you've selected the order you need to adjust, you will see the option to Refund Order in the upper right corner. 

When you select Refund Order you will have the opportunity to refund either part of the order or all items within the order. 

Once you select the number of items you'd like to refund, select the refund reason and where the refund should be returned. When saved, the customer will be refunded for the number of items chosen and you will be able to see the number of items refunded within the Products section of the order page, as well as see the full refund within the Payments & Refunds page.
