Allowing Next-Day Delivery Outside Market Subscription and Order Settings

If you'd like to enable next-day delivery for specific delivery windows (e.g., 4pm - 8pm window only), this can be done outside the standard Market Subscription and Order Settings. This allows merchants to offer next-day delivery for select time slots, provided the order is placed before the configured cutoff time.

Impact on Market Settings

Allowing next-day delivery outside the standard Market Subscription and Order Settings provides greater flexibility. Merchants can enable next-day delivery for specific windows (e.g., the 4 PM – 8 PM window), even if the default settings—such as ordering lock days—would normally prevent it.

While the market may typically require more lead time, customers can still receive next-day delivery for the selected windows, provided the order is placed before the designated cutoff time.

How to check your ordering lock time

  1. Go to Admin > Fulfillment 
  2. Under the Market Section > Select the Market
     
  1. Review the Subscription and Order Settings shown on the interface, and verify the Ordering Lock Time.
     

 

Currently, the order lock configuration (e.g., 3-day lock) controls the earliest available delivery date. For example, if today is June 2 and the merchant has a 3-day lock, the earliest delivery date shown is June 5.
 

Note: Allowing next-day delivery will override the ordering lock days as shown in the Subscription and Order Settings. 

 

 

For example

  • Order placed on June 2 before 11PM
  • Delivery window: Evening (e.g., 4PM – 8PM)
  • Fulfillment date allowed: June 3, 4PM – 8PM and the rest of the regular delivery windows
  • If they place an order after 11PM on June 2 they they will see the regular delivery windows.

How to Allow Next-Day delivery 

  1. Navigate to Admin > Fulfillment, then select the relevant Market
  2. Under the selected market, click on Delivery Zones
  3. Choose the delivery zone you want to update
     
  1. In the Delivery Window section, click Edit Windows.
  2. Within the Edit Delivery Windows screen, choose the specific window(s) you want to allow for next-day delivery
     

Once enabled, this setting will allow customers to select next-day delivery for the chosen delivery window.
