How do I troubleshoot my PradoPay card reader?

Reset the Card Reader
If the card reader is unresponsive or acting up, try resetting it:

  • Press and hold both the yellow and red buttons at the same time for a few seconds.
  • The device should reboot and reconnect.

Ensure Internet Connection
A stable internet connection is essential for the card reader to work properly:

  • Check all cables and ensure they are properly connected to the card reader.
  • Verify the internet status to confirm the card reader is connected and has a strong signal.

Disconnect & Re-authorize the Card Reader
If resetting and checking the internet doesn’t work, try disconnecting and reauthorizing the device:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Settings
  2. Click Point of Sale > Create and Authorize Store Terminals
  3. Select the appropriate Store
  4. Click the Disconnect button (located next to "Reauthorize") to unlink the card reader.

Re-authorize the Card Reader
After disconnecting, follow these steps to reauthorize:

  1. Go to Admin > Settings
  2. Click Point of Sale > Create and Authorize Store Terminals
  3. Select the relevant Store
  4. Click Reauthorize
  5. Check your card reader’s code displayed on the screen
  6. Enter the code into the Reauthorize field to complete the setup
