How do I troubleshoot my cash drawer?

The cash drawer is connected to the POS via the receipt printer. In order to troubleshoot the cash drawer, ensure the proper printer is set up as described above. 

If the printer is connected to Bluetooth and printing a sample correctly, make sure that the cash drawer cable from the printer is secure and pointing in the correct direction (each end should have a label indicating where it should be connected).
