How do I troubleshoot my scanner?
Reestablish Bluetooth Connection
- Turn off the scanner
- Go to iPad Settings > turn off Bluetooth
- Wait a couple of seconds, then turn the scanner back on
- Turn iPad Bluetooth back on
- If the scanner in the list (SocketScan S700) shows “Disconnected”, tap it so it says “Connected
Open POS app
- Go to the side hamburger menu > Settings
- Tap Scanners
- Wait for a second and you may hear a beep from the scanner
- Tap the Find Scanners button
- You should see the scanner listed (SocketScan S700)
- Tap this item
POS App Connection
- Select a product off the shelf and scan its barcode
- Ensure the UPC number appears within the box within settings > scanner
